O. Sally Merritt, of Carver, passed away on April 9, 2013. She was 98 years old. Wife of the late Francis A. Merritt, and there baby boy. Mother for 64 years to Gertrude M. Forbes of WA, Robert H. Merritt of Carver, Nancy F. Winslow of WA, and Francis A. Merritt Jr of ME. Sister of the late Terho A. Kaski, Helen Harju, Vieno Harju, and Florence Sand. Sally also leaves her dear friend Beverly Johnson of Carver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sally was a former Trustee for many years of the Carver Public. She was a member of the Carver Garden Club, and a longtime member of the Church of the Vines in W. Wareham, and United Parrish in Carver. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 11:00 Am at United Parrish, 115 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. Family and friends are welcome to an hour of visitation prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM at the United Parrish. Interment will be at the Union cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Carver Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth, noting “Carver Unit” on the memo line of the check.
